Im in my second trimester and the weight is climbing faster than i expected. I dont want to lose, just keep it healthy and not go overboard. How did u all manage your weight during these months?
You shouldnt try to lose weight in pregnancy but you can avoid excess gain by eating clean. My doctor allowed me daily walks and light prenatal yoga which kept me steady. Always check what activity your doc permits though.
Realistically you will gain some weight and thats healthy. I focused on home cooked food and avoided junk during office hours. No point obsessing, just eat sensibly.
Aim for healthy gain not maintenance, the baby needs it. Your gynac will tell you the right range for your body. Follow that rather than any internet number.
Because of my sugar issue I was very careful, cut down sweets and fried stuff and ate small portions often. Some weight gain is needed for baby so dont restrict too much. My dietitian guided me on this.
