Holi is coming and my whole family plays a lot, gulaal everywhere. Im 5 months pregnant and a little tension about the colours and all that pulling-pushing in the crowd. Did anyone play holi while pregnant?
Please check with your gynac first because chemical colors can contain heavy metals which are harmful. Also, there is a high risk of slipping on wet floors. It's better to avoid playing with water or harsh colors altogether.
Haan na, pregnancy mein dhyan toh rakhna hi padta hai. Wet colors and crowded places are better avoided so you don't slip. Dry organic gulal is fine for a quick photo, but otherwise ghar pe hi aaram karo.
I was 7 months pregnant during Holi last year and I stayed indoors. I only let my husband put a small dry herbal gulal on my cheeks because the risk of slipping on wet grass or tiles is real. Better to enjoy the special sweets instead!
Yaar, Holi is so much fun but during pregnancy, it’s actually a bit risky. The crowd can get quite wild and there’s always a risk of someone accidentally pushing you. I’d say skip the wet colors and just enjoy the delicious festive food!
When I was pregnant, I was at my parents' house and they literally kept me away from the wet color celebrations. My mom made my favorite gujiyas at home and we just sat together talking. It's best to avoid the crowd and stay safe with family.
Beta, pregnancy mein thoda parhej hi accha hai. Avoid hard chemical colors as they can cause skin allergies, and instead use home-made haldi or Chandan tilak. If color gets on your skin, use a little warm coconut oil to gently remove it.
Holi is a beautiful festival of joy, but keeping your little baby safe is the biggest priority. You can do a simple puja at home, put a small tilak of pure chandan, and keep a positive, happy mind. Blessings to you and the baby.
Honestly, the crowd and wet floors are a huge slipping hazard. I only stuck to my regular evening walks and did some light prenatal yoga indoors on Holi day. If you want to celebrate, just put a dry tilak of organic color and stay safe.
I am in my 2nd trimester now and I'm so confused about Holi. My friends are calling me, but I'm super anxious about the toxic colors and wet floors. Is anyone else skipping Holi this year to be safe?
If you really want to play, use only homemade beetroot juice or organic colors. But honestly, if you feel any dizziness or catch a cold/fever from wet colors, immediately contact your doctor instead of trying home remedies. Safety first!
