Can i put oil in my belly button during pregnancy?
My mother in law keeps telling me to put oil in my belly button every night, says its good for the baby. Im 4 months now. I just wanted to check with others before doing it, is this actually okay to do?
Beta in our homes we always put a little oil in the navel, it is an old soothing habit. A drop of coconut or mustard oil is harmless and feels nice on dry skin. Just keep it clean and dont overdo it.
I gently applied a bit of coconut oil around the navel for dryness, felt nice. It wont harm the baby, that is just an old belief about it reaching inside. If you ever notice redness or pain there, then ask your doctor.
