I'm a stomach sleeper since forever and now im 11 weeks. Pet abhi itna nahi dikhta but im scared if lying like that is putting pressure on baby. Is it ok for now or should i stop?
In my experience, my body naturally made me stop sleeping on my stomach around the 4th month because it just started feeling too heavy and awkward. After that, I only slept on my left side because my MIL said it's better for blood flow. It worked out perfectly fine for me.
Hey, don't stress too much about this right now! If you are in early weeks, it won't hurt the baby at all. But gradually you'll have to switch to sleeping on your side, so maybe start practicing now with some extra pillows around you for support.
No need to buy those super expensive pregnancy pillows from online shops. I just used two of our normal bedroom pillows—one behind my back and one tucked under my knees. It kept me from rolling onto my stomach and costed zero rupees!
Early on it is absolutely fine but as your bump grows, it will get very uncomfortable! 🤰 I shifted to sleeping on my side with a nice soft pillow between my knees and it felt so cozy. Try that once!
I am in my second trimester now and honestly, I miss stomach sleeping so much. I keep waking up on my tummy and then panicking. Has anyone else used those big C-shaped pregnancy pillows, do they actually help you stay on your side?
I remember being so paranoid about my sleeping position when I was pregnant. But trust me, your body's survival instinct is very strong and you will naturally roll over if you feel discomfort. My little one is a naughty toddler now, so enjoy your sleep while you can!
