Im 6 months and everyone online says sleep on left side but i naturally roll to my right at night, just more comfy for me. Sometimes i wake up on my back too. Is the right side actually a problem? getting a bit paranoid about it.
My gynac said left side is preferred especially in later pregnancy because it improves blood flow to the baby, but right side is okay too if thats comfortable. You dont have to stay frozen in one position all night. If you wake up on your back later on, just gently turn to a side.
Both sides are considered safe, my app said left is slightly ideal for blood flow but right is okay too. They mainly suggest avoiding lying flat on your back for long periods in the later months. Side sleeping in general is the goal.
Honestly by now I sleep on whichever side my body lets me lol. They say left is best but my doc said right is also okay, dont obsess over it. A pillow under the belly helps either side feel comfy.
Right side is fine yaar, dont stress. Left is just slightly better for circulation in the third trimester but no one sleeps in one position the whole night. Whatever lets you actually rest is what you need.
