My skin allergy is acting up badly and i used to take atarax before, doc had given it earlier. Now im 9 weeks and scared to take anything without checking. Did anyone use it during pregnancy?
I wouldn't take any tablet in pregnancy without asking the doctor first, even for itching or allergy. Please call your gynac and ask specifically about this one before taking it.
Honestly for any prescription medicine in pregnancy the only right answer is ask your treating doctor. They know your history and trimester, so a quick call to confirm is the safest thing to do.
I was on a few medicines during my pregnancy and I learnt to never add anything new without telling my doctor. Best to just message or call your gynac and ask about atarax directly, dont guess.
When I had allergy issues my doctor was very particular about which medicines were okay in pregnancy and which to avoid. Atarax is one you should not self start, just confirm with your gynac and she'll tell you a safe option if needed.
