I started adding broccoli to my meals thinking its healthy but my MIL says it causes gas and isnt good now. Got confused thoda. Is it actually fine to eat regularly?
Yes broccoli is excellent in pregnancy, full of folate, iron and fibre. I added it to soups and stir fry. Just wash it really well and cook it properly, raw veggies can carry germs.
Broccoli was a staple for me, great for fibre and helps with the constipation issues. I steamed it lightly so it kept the nutrients. Honestly one of the best greens you can have right now.
It's a good vegetable beta, but always wash it well in salt water and cook it nicely. We never ate it raw. Some people get gas from it, so eat in moderation if your tummy is sensitive.
