Can i take calcium tablet if m trying to conceive?

I have calcium tablets at home from before and we are TTC now. I dont know if I should continue or wait for doctor to say. Did anyone take calcium while planning pregnancy, haan or no?

I'm in the same boat right now actually. From what my doc told me, folic acid is the must-have when planning, calcium can be added but get it checked first. Good luck to us both!

I'd say dont start any supplement on your own even calcium. With my pcos my doctor decided what I needed after a blood test. Just book a quick visit and ask, it's worth it.

Calcium is usually safe but the question is whether u actually need it right now. Get a quick check, doctor will tell you and probably start folic acid too which matters more pre pregnancy.

When I was trying my doctor mainly put me on folic acid first, that's the important one before conceiving. She said calcium is fine too but better to take it on doctor's advice so the dose is right for you. Pls confirm with ur gynac before starting.

I was wondering the same thing recently. I felt shy to ask but my doctor was so chill about it. She told me to take what she prescribes only, so maybe just ask yours too.
