I used to have 2-3 cups of green tea daily before, kind of my morning habit. Now im 9 weeks and not sure if i should continue or cut it because of caffeine. Will ask my doc na but is anyone here still having it?
Not generally recommended in large amounts because of the caffeine content. If you're used to it, ask your doctor how much is permissible daily. Otherwise, nimbu paani or fresh coconut water are really good and safe options, and healthy too.
I completely stopped green tea when I was pregnant because my doctor said to limit all caffeine. It's tricky because some say it's fine in moderation. Your safest bet is to specifically ask your gynac about it, they'll give you clear guidance.
I'm just planning too, and my gynac already warned me about limiting caffeine. So green tea also counts in that. I think it's safest to check with your doctor for your specific limits, if any. Don't take any risks.
My mummy and MIL always told me to be careful with tea and coffee during pregnancy, especially green tea as it has caffeine. It's better to ask your gynac, beta. They will tell you what's safe and how much.
Honestly, I tried to avoid too much caffeine, including green tea, during my pregnancy. If you really want to have it, just ask your gynac. They might say a small amount is okay, but it's always safer to confirm with them.
