My doctor had given this before pregnancy for an infection and now its come back again. Im 7 weeks now so im scared to take anything on my own. Planning to call my gynac but wanted to know if anyone was prescribed something safe instead.
Please dont take this on your own, this kind of antibiotic is usually avoided in pregnancy unless a doctor decides it is truly needed. Call your gynac and tell them what you need it for. They will give a safe alternative if required.
This is one of those antibiotics that is generally not first choice in pregnancy. Only your treating doctor can judge if the benefit outweighs risk for your situation. Definitely dont self prescribe it.
