I usually take nimesulide for body pain but now im 3 months pregnant and got a bad backache today. Im not taking anything without asking my gynac first, but wanted to know if any of u were told its safe or not. just checking.
Please dont take nimesulide on your own in pregnancy, painkillers like this are generally avoided. I would not touch it without the gynac specifically saying so. Call your doctor and they will give you something safe for pain or fever.
I am always strict about medicines in pregnancy. Many common painkillers are not recommended and nimesulide is one I would never take without clearance. Check with your gynac for a safe alternative, it is just not worth the risk.
I never took any painkiller without asking my doctor first, including for fever. When I had body ache she told me which one was safe and which to avoid completely. So please ring your gynac before taking nimesulide, dont self decide.
