Can i take paracetamol for headache during pregnancy?
Having a bad headache since morning, second trimester chal raha hai. I dont want to take anything without being sure. Planning to ask my gynac but wanted to know what others did for headaches. pls share.
Instead of taking medicine straight away, I used to put a cold damp cloth on my forehead and drink a warm cup of light ginger tea. If the headache is still too bad, call your doctor and ask if you can take a paracetamol.
Beta, try some home remedies first like a light forehead massage or drinking warm milk. Don't take paracetamol or any English medicine without asking your doctor. Rest is very important right now.
Pregnancy headaches are real, probably because of all the hormones and MIL's free advice, haha! Paracetamol is usually safe, but check with your doc first. A nice head massage with coconut oil also works wonders!
Yes, paracetamol is generally considered safe during pregnancy, but always call your gynac before taking any pill. Also try to drink plenty of water and rest in a dark room, sometimes dehydration causes headaches.
I am in my 18th week and also getting very bad headaches lately. Did anyone else get this too? My doctor said paracetamol is okay occasionally, but I am still scared to take it.
Paracetamol is the safest option if the pain is unbearable, but don't self-medicate. Call your doctor's clinic and ask for the right dosage. Never take any other painkiller besides what your gynac prescribes.
