Have a bad cough and cold going on, im 5 months. At home everyone gives sitopaladi churna normally so i was thinking can i take it now or better to ask doctor first? dont want to take anything wrong during this time.
Honestly I would not take any churna or ayurvedic powder during pregnancy without asking the doctor. Even natural ones can affect things and we dont always know the ingredients. For a cough please get your gynac to suggest something safe.
Beta in our homes sitopaladi was given for cough, but during pregnancy I would say be a little careful. For a small throat irritation warm water with honey or haldi doodh is gentler. For anything more, do ask your doctor before taking the churna.
I always tell friends to clear even ayurvedic medicines with the doctor when pregnant. Sitopaladi might be fine but the doctor should give the okay knowing your trimester. Dont guess on these things, just one quick call sorts it.
I love my ayurvedic stuff but in pregnancy I got careful and checked everything with my doctor first. Sitopaladi is common for cough but even herbal things can interact, so please dont take it on your own. Run it by your gynac before, just to be safe.
