I have a skin condition and was using some steroid cream from before. Now im 8 weeks pregnant and got scared, stopped using it. Should i be asking my gynac about this? a bit confused.
When my doctor prescribed me a steroid injection in my third trimester due to early labor risk, I felt so terrified for my baby. But I trusted my gynac and everything went well. Please only take them if your doctor says it is absolutely necessary.
Please do not take any steroids on your own during pregnancy. If they are prescribed by your doctor for a specific complication, like baby's lung maturity, then it is fine, but otherwise it can be risky. Always consult your gynac before taking any medication.
No way yaar, self-medication with steroids during pregnancy is a big no! Actually, some doctors prescribe specific ones if there's an emergency, but you shouldn't even touch them without your doc's green light. Better safe than sorry!
I know how stressful it is when you are prescribed heavy medicines and you keep worrying about the baby's safety. Please talk to your gynac and let them explain why it's needed so you can feel calm. Never self-medicate with steroids, it's just not safe.
Don't even think about taking steroids on your own, please! Unless your doctor has specifically prescribed them to you, keep them far away. I can barely remember my own name right now, but I definitely know self-medication is a terrible idea.
