Im just 7 weeks and we have a family function out of station next week, its a 6 hour car journey. My mom is saying dont travel in early days. Is it actually risky in the start? anyone travelled early and was fine?
I asked my gynac the same and she said early travel is usually fine if the pregnancy is healthy and theres no bleeding or pain. She just told me to avoid very long bumpy road trips and stay hydrated. Best to take her green signal before you book anything.
I travelled for work in early weeks, totally manageable. Just carry water and snacks, take breaks, dont sit cramped for hours. Keep ur doc number handy and you'll be fine.
I was nervous about travelling early too, kept wondering if its risky. My doctor said it was fine for me. Did anyone else feel scared about this initially? Once she okayed it I felt much better.
For me the doctor advised to be a little careful in the first trimester since I had spotting earlier. So it really depends on ur own case. If everything is normal its usually ok, but do clear it with ur gynac first.
