Just found out im pregnant, maybe 4-5 weeks. I have to go to my mom's place which is like 6 hrs by bus and the roads are bumpy. Thoda tension ho rahi hai because of jerks. anyone travelled long bus in early days?
With all the scans and hospital registration charges coming up, we have to save money, but please don't compromise on safety. A bumpy bus ride can sometimes lead to complications, and those emergency clinic visits are super expensive. Better to invest in a safer transport option right now.
When I was in my first month, I had to travel for an emergency. It was so uncomfortable because of the sudden breaks and nausea. Now that I am breastfeeding my little one, I look back and feel we should always prioritize our comfort first. Try to avoid it if possible.
Personally, I completely avoided bus travel in my first trimester because of the crazy jerks and potholes on our roads. My doctor had told me to be super careful in the early weeks. If you really have to travel, maybe check if a cab or train is possible instead?
Early pregnancy is quite delicate, so please be very careful. After going through my own journey and then a C-section, I realized how important taking rest is in the initial days. If you can avoid the journey, please do, otherwise take the middle seat where jerks are less.
I am also in my 6th week and my in-laws want me to travel for a family puja by bus. I am so scared of the bumpy roads in India, especially right now. Did anyone else travel during their first month and stay absolutely fine?
