Can i travel by train during first trimester of pregnancy?
I have to go to my parents place and its a 6 hour train journey. Im 9 weeks. My husband is a bit tensed about the travel part. Did anyone travel by train early on, was it ok?
Look, if it's not urgent, better to avoid long travel in the first three months. But if you must go, book a 2nd AC ticket so you can lie down comfortably and avoid carrying any heavy bags yourself. Take care of yourself.
Hey, don't stress too much! Just check with your doc once, take a lower berth, and carry tons of dry snacks for your nausea. If your gynac gives the green light, you are totally good to go. Safe journey!
Train travel is generally considered safer than road travel because there are fewer jerks, but first trimester is very sensitive. It is absolutely best to ask your gynac first, especially if you have had any spotting or history of complications.
Humare yahan to pehle teen mahine safar karne se mana karte hain. Agar jana bahut zaroori hai, toh dheere chalna aur train me aaram se baithna. Safar se pehle doctor didi se zaroor consult kar lena.
Actually train journeys are way smoother than our bumpy roads, yaar. Just make sure you walk a bit in the aisle every hour so your legs don't swell. And carry home-cooked food and bottled water, don't eat outside station food at all.
I had to travel by train for 6 hours in my 8th week and I felt so nervous and scared the whole time. Luckily, my doctor gave me some emergency medicines and told me to lie down on the lower berth. Definitely choose a lower berth if you go.
