We have a family function in my hometown next month and it would be a long road journey. Im 29 weeks now and my husband is a little worried about the travel. Did anyone travel around this stage, was it okay?
At 29 weeks most women can travel fine if the pregnancy is normal and your doctor okays it. I travelled around then both times. Take breaks, stretch your legs often, stay hydrated, and carry your reports along.
Totally doable at 29 weeks usually. Just plan smart, aisle seat so u can get up, keep snacks and water, and dont sit too long at a stretch to avoid leg swelling. And get a quick okay from your gynac before booking.
My gynac said up to around 32 to 34 weeks is usually okay for travel in a normal pregnancy, and for flights to carry a fit to fly note. She told me to walk a little every hour to keep blood flowing. Do confirm with yours though.
It depends on how your pregnancy is going. If everything is smooth, generally fine. But if you've had any issues like high BP or spotting, please check with your doctor first and ask before any long journey. Better safe.
I was nervous about travelling around this time too! My doctor said it was fine for me and the trip went smooth. I just kept moving my legs and drank lots of water. Ask yours and you'll feel more relaxed.
