I just found out and need to travel to my hometown for some work. It is not very far but early pregnancy is making me nervous. Should I ask gynac before planning?
Generally short travel is fine if your pregnancy is normal and you have no spotting or pain. I traveled early both times. But take breaks, stay hydrated and dont do long bumpy road trips. If anything feels off, tell your doc first.
My app had a note saying first trimester travel is usually fine for low risk pregnancies but to avoid getting overtired. I planned lighter days and rest stops. Still got a quick green light from my doctor before flying.
I would say please check with your gynac before booking anything. In my case they advised me to avoid travel early due to some spotting. If your scan and reports are all clear she may say go ahead, but get her ok first.
I have a wedding to attend in my early weeks and I was wondering the same thing. From what people are saying short travel seems okay if all is normal. I am still going to confirm with my gynac before I go.
I had to travel for work in my first month and it was fine, just kept it easy. Carry water, snacks, take aisle seat for frequent loo trips, and dont stress over deadlines. Quick word with the doctor before a long trip though, just to be safe.
