Im in my 9th month now and we have to go to my parents place for the delivery which is about 4 hrs by road. Family is divided, some say its fine some say dont risk it. Did any of u travel this late? bit nervous honestly.
9th month I'd avoid long travel honestly, labour can start anytime. Short local trips with someone along are okay if your doctor says fine. Keep your hospital bag and reports ready wherever you go.
In the final month most doctors advise staying near your delivery hospital. Airlines also restrict travel this late. Short essential trips might be okay with a doctor's clearance, but long journeys are best postponed.
Beta the 9th month is when you should stay close to your hospital, not travel far. If its just a short distance and the doctor allows, fine, but keep someone with you and dont take long journeys now.
If its for shifting to your delivery hospital city, plan it a bit earlier rather than at the very last week. Trains and flights in the 9th month also need doctor letters often. Better to settle near the hospital ahead of time.
Please be careful in the last month. With me the doctor strictly said no travel near the due date. If you absolutely must, get clear permission from your gynac first, the last weeks are unpredictable.
