Yes you can, just avoid the very rough roads if possible and dont sit at the very edge. Sudden jerks are the main thing to watch. I did it all 9 months both times.
Haan yaar i travelled in auto throughout, actually no choice in our city traffic. Just hold the side bar and ask bhaiya to go slow over potholes. Bumpy roads are the only annoying part.
