I am also in my second trimester and planning a baby shower trip! My doctor said it's fine but I should walk around every hour on the flight. Are you planning a long flight or a short domestic one?
It is generally safe, but having a PCOS history made me a bit extra cautious. I kept my travel plans very light and avoided long-haul flights. Definitely consult your doctor to ensure your cervix length and blood pressure are completely fine before booking.
My mother was very scared about me flying, but my doctor assured us that the second trimester is actually the safest window. I took a short flight to Chennai with my doctor's permission and wore compression socks. Just trust your gynac's green light.
Second trimester is actually the best time to travel, yaar! I took a flight to Goa in my 5th month and it was totally fine. Just get the fit-to-fly letter from your doctor and keep yourself hydrated throughout the flight.
My MIL was totally against me flying during my pregnancy, but my doctor explained to her that the second trimester is safe. We compromised by taking a very short direct flight, and I took plenty of rest after reaching.
Second trimester is usually the safest time to travel, but since I had thyroid issues, my doctor made me do a checkup right before the flight. Make sure your levels are normal and your gynac gives you a fit-to-fly certificate first.
