Im trying to cut sugar and someone suggested this. Im 11 weeks though so not sure if its safe to use during pregnancy. Will ask my gynac also but wanted to know if anyone here used it.
I had such terrible morning sickness that everything tasted weird, and sweeteners made it worse. If you really want a sweet taste, fresh fruits are much safer and easier on the stomach.
It is totally normal to feel confused about what is safe to eat and drink, I used to worry about every single ingredient too. Honestly, it's best to show the product bottle to your gynac before using it so you can relax.
I am in my 2nd trimester and honestly too scared to try herbal sweeteners like ayustevia. Did anyone else here use it during their pregnancy, or did your doctors allow it?
Instead of buying these expensive specialty sweeteners, why not just use normal sugar in very small quantities or jaggery? Saves money and you don't have to worry about safety of extra ingredients.
Oh, herbal things make me so worried because there are no clear safety studies sometimes! What if it affects the baby? I would say avoid it for now just for your peace of mind.
I avoided all herbal sweeteners during my pregnancy just to be safe, as we don't always know all the ingredients. Maybe try normal organic jaggery in small amounts if you have cravings?
