My back and shoulders are killing me these days and I have an old bengay tube at home. Pet itna heavy ho gaya hai that sleeping is uncomfortable. Anyone used such pain balms in pregnancy or should I just avoid na?
Beta, avoid using these chemical creams like Bengay now, they have strong medicine that absorbs in the skin. Try a warm mustard oil massage with garlic, or warm water bottle. If pain doesn't go, please call your doctor.
I wouldn't use Bengay right now because it's strong. Simple warm compress always worked better for me. Just check with your gynac once to be completely safe.
During my pregnancy, my back used to hurt so much, but my doc strictly told me to avoid Bengay. Even after my C-section, I only used heat pads for recovery. Please ask your doctor for a safe spray or gel instead.
Arre yaara, don't stress too much about the back pain, it's very normal! But honestly, skip the Bengay for now because those ingredients aren't great during pregnancy. Use a hot water bottle instead, it's a lifesaver.
Avoid it. Bengay has salicylic acid which gets absorbed through skin, not safe for baby. Better use a hot water bag or ask your gynac for a safe local ointment if pain is bad.
Oh my god, I had the same pain and was about to use it, but then read it's not safe because of the salicylate in it! I got so scared and immediately called my doc. Better to avoid it completely and just ask your gynac first!
You can easily manage this pain without strong creams like Bengay! I used to do light pelvic stretches and used a pregnancy pillow, it helped a lot. Do ask your doc before applying anything, you got this!
Haan na, pregnancy pain is really tough. But please don't use Bengay, it is not recommended during this time. Rather try hot compress or simple stretches, but only if doctor says yes.
Actually, when I had bad backache, my mom strictly said no to these strong over-the-counter creams. It's much safer to just use warm sesame oil and do gentle massage. Take care of yourself, dear.
I totally understand how exhausting this pain can be, dear. But please hold off on Bengay as it might not be safe for your little sweetheart. Ask your gynac for a safe alternative, and try to rest as much as you can.
