Vomiting is making me very weak and this medicine name came up from an old prescription. I am not taking it without asking my gynac, but wanted to know if others were given it. Any experience?
Anything for nausea or vomiting in pregnancy I always cleared with my doctor before, never on my own. There are safer prescribed options they choose for pregnant women. Please ring your gynac and ask, dont take it just because it worked before.
My doctor was very particular that I dont take any anti vomiting medicine without her approval, she said she prefers specific ones in pregnancy. So for domperidone I really wouldnt guess, ask your treating doctor whether its suitable for you.
I wouldnt take any such medicine without asking my doctor first, even for vomiting. Please dont self medicate in pregnancy. Call your gynac and ask whether its okay for you, they will give the right thing.
This really needs your doctors say so, not a forum. Some medicines are avoided in pregnancy and the doctor knows the safe alternatives. Best to message or call your gynac before taking it.
I totally get it, the vomiting is awful and you just want relief. But please dont pick a medicine yourself. My doctor gave me a safe one for the sickness when it got bad. Call yours, they will sort you out.
