We make drumstick sambar quite often at home and i love it. Someone told me the vegetable itself should be avoided during pregnancy and now im confused. Is drumstick really not good now?
As cooked food its fine, but if u mean any drumstick bark or strong root preparation then no, avoid those. Stick to the vegetable and if in doubt just ask ur gynac once.
The drumstick vegetable in sambar was a regular for me, calm down its fine in normal food amounts. Family always said it gives strength. Just the pieces in cooking, not anything in excess.
Yes the drumstick pods in your dal or curry are perfectly fine, I ate them through both pregnancies. Just eat it as a normal dish, dont go having it like its medicine and you are good.
