I have a bunch of ovulation strips left over from trying and no pregnancy test at home right now. Im too impatient to wait till tomorrow honestly. Has anyone used these to check pregnancy, does it even work?
Not a good idea yaar, ovulation test is for finding fertile days, not pregnancy. It might show something but it isnt accurate for this. Just buy a pregnancy test after ur missed period, much clearer.
Technically ovulation kits and pregnancy kits detect different hormones, LH vs hCG, though they are a bit similar in structure. My doctor said dont rely on ovulation strips for pregnancy, they can mislead. Just use a proper pregnancy test for accurate result.
I tracked ovulation with strips during my trying days but for confirming pregnancy i always used a separate hpt. They arent meant for each other really. Get an actual urine pregnancy kit, theyre cheap and reliable.
I wondered the same while trying! But i learnt they test different hormones so its not reliable. Better to wait and use a proper pregnancy strip, less confusion that way.
