My ears feel thoda blocked lately and i usually clean with cotton buds. Now im 5 months and overthinking even small small things. Is using q tip totally fine na?
I got so paranoid about this because I heard ear infections can require antibiotics which might not be safe! Honestly, Q-tips are not recommended anyway because they push the wax deeper. Maybe just wipe the outer ear with a soft cloth to be safe?
I had super itchy ears right after my delivery, and my doc strictly told me to avoid cotton buds. She said pregnancy hormones can affect your mucous membranes, making your ears dry. Just use a damp cloth on the outside.
I felt so uncomfortable when my ears got blocked during my third trimester. I almost used a Q-tip, but my husband stopped me saying it might cause an infection. I'm glad I didn't, and the feeling went away on its own after birth.
When you go through IVF, you become so careful about every little thing, even using cotton buds. I avoided them completely because I didn't want to risk any infections or complications. Sending you lots of positive vibes, take care of yourself.
Ear clean karne ke liye Q-tip mat daalo behen, kaan ka parda bohot nazuk hota hai. Mere ghar pe sab bolte hain ki nahaane ke baad towel se thoda sa saaf kar lo, bas wahi kaafi hai.
Make sure you mention any ear blocking or itching to your doctor during your regular checkup. Since I had thyroid, I had fluid retention which even made my ears feel stuffed. A quick visit to the ENT is safer than using Q-tips.
Actually yaar, pregnancy has nothing to do with Q-tips, but doctors advise against them anyway. If your ears feel blocked, it could just be pregnancy congestion. Better to get it cleaned by an ENT doctor instead of poking around.
I totally understand how irritating that itchy ear feeling can be, sweetie. But please try to avoid using Q-tips as they can cause harm. Keep yourself safe and just ask your gynac for a safe ear drop if it's bothering you.
