Can i use veet to remove private hair during pregnancy?
Im 7 months along and shaving is getting so difficult now, cant even reach properly. Was thinking of using veet but not sure if the cream is safe in pregnancy. Koi used hair removal cream during this time?
Please be very careful with using strong chemical products during this precious time. I preferred to avoid chemical creams entirely just to be 100% safe. Trimming with a safe electric trimmer is a much gentler option for your peace of mind.
Most pregnancy trackers say that topical hair removal creams are fine because they aren't absorbed deep into the bloodstream. But do a patch test first because pregnancy hormones can make your skin react differently. Keep the room well-ventilated to avoid inhaling the strong smell.
Because of my PCOS, I always had thick hair growth and used creams, but during pregnancy, my skin reacted very badly to Veet. The hormones make your skin extra sensitive, so please do a small patch test on your leg first. If it burns, don't use it there.
I panicked so much when I used Veet once and then read scary things online. But my gynac laughed and said it's totally fine and won't harm the baby at all. Just use a mild formula and don't worry, it is completely normal to use it!
Yes, you can use it, but skin becomes super sensitive during pregnancy. I used it carefully before my normal delivery and it was fine, just do a patch test first. Or you can ask your nurse for help as you get closer to the date.
The strong chemical smell of Veet actually triggered my morning sickness so badly in the second trimester! If you are sensitive to smells like me, avoid it. Shaving or trimming is much safer and won't make you throw up.
Oh god, I was so scared of using hair removal creams because of all the chemicals soaking into the skin! I kept searching if it affects the baby. Honestly, to be safe, I just shifted to trimming or asking for help because the anxiety of using creams was too much.
Honestly, with that big belly, even seeing down there is a challenge, let alone using creams! Veet is generally okay, but don't leave it on for too long or you'll end up with a very angry, red itchy situation. Better to go for a simple trim or get professional help!
