Doc has put me on strict bed rest and its getting really hard to even move to the washroom. Was thinking if a wheel chair could help me move around the ghar a little. Anyone who was on bed rest, did u use one?
I would be so worried about any sudden jerks or bumps while using a wheelchair. Please make sure the path is smooth if you do use one. It is absolutely best to call your doctor's clinic and ask if sitting is safe for your condition.
I know how incredibly tough and emotionally draining bed rest can be, dear. A wheelchair can help you move around a bit for fresh air, but please ask your doctor if sitting up is allowed in your case. Sending you so much strength!
I had severe complications and was on strict bed rest myself. Sometimes sitting up in a wheelchair can put pressure on your cervix, which can be risky. Please do not use one without getting direct permission from your gynac.
If your doctor has advised complete bed rest, please clarify if you can sit up in a wheelchair first. You can easily rent one from local medical stores instead of buying to save money. But do check with your hospital team before using it.
Think of it as getting royal queen-like treatment where everyone rolls you around! But seriously, ask your doctor first because sometimes 'strict' bed rest means you must lie down flat. If they give the nod, enjoy the ride!
During my pregnancy, I was put on partial bed rest and used a wheelchair occasionally for hospital visits. It really helped me avoid walking long distances. But since every pregnancy is different, I just did what my doctor advised.
