First trimester chal raha hai and I usually do all the washing at ghar pe by hand. My saas told me to avoid bending and all that but I feel fine. Is it actually a problem or am I overthinking?
Oh I totally understand how we feel like doing all the house work ourselves, but please be gentle on yourself! Your little miracle is growing inside, so your safety comes first. Do only light laundry and leave the heavy stuff for your husband to do.
Haan bilkul dho sakte ho, par please wo bhari baltiyan uthana avoid karna na. Washing machine use karo toh better hai, bina wajah bend mat ho. Aur agar thoda bhi thakaan lage toh rest kar lo immediately.
Of course you can, sweetie, but please don't lift heavy buckets of wet clothes. Use a washing machine if you have one, and take plenty of breaks in between. Your body is doing a lot of hard work right now, so let others help you with the heavy lifting, okay?
Washing clothes is fine as long as you aren't bending constantly or carrying heavy loads. From what my husband always tells his patients, gentle daily chores are actually good for blood circulation. Just make sure the floor isn't slippery and you avoid any strain on your back.
Yaar don't stress too much about small things like this! Washing machine mein kapde daalna is totally fine, just don't go full-on dhobi ghat style washing by hand on the floor. Take it easy and let your husband help you with hanging them to dry.
My mother-in-law told me not to wash clothes at all because of the bending, but my doctor said light activity is completely safe. Just avoid washing heavy bedsheets manually or lifting wet buckets. If you feel tired or have any discomfort, just stop and sit down.
