We dont have a washing machine and i usually wash everything by hand. Now in my second trimester the bending and squeezing makes my back ache. Is it fine to keep doing it or should i avoid? what did u guys do?
Light hand washing is fine, but avoid heavy squatting, lifting heavy wet clothes and straining your back. I switched to the machine for the heavy loads in later months. Listen to your body and dont overdo the bending.
My MIL actually told me to let the heavy washing be and just do light things. I appreciated it because bending and squatting got tiring fast. Take help for the big loads if you can, no shame in it.
You can do small light washing beta, but dont strain yourself with heavy buckets or long squatting. Your back and belly will thank you. Take rest in between and ask for help with the big stuff.
If a machine isnt an option, just do small amounts at a time and sit on a low stool instead of squatting long. I managed that way without spending. Just dont lift heavy wet piles, that part take help for.
