I have had IBS for years and now planning to conceive. Just wondering if it makes things harder during pregnancy or if anyone managed it fine. Pls share ur experience yaar.
IBS can flare with the hormonal changes but it is usually manageable. The key is letting your doctor know upfront so they keep an eye on it and adjust anything if needed. Self managing alone isnt the best idea here.
I have a sensitive gut and pregnancy hormones did make my tummy act up more. I managed with small frequent meals and avoiding my trigger foods. But do tell your gynac about your IBS so they can guide your diet properly.
I totally understand this worry, gut issues plus pregnancy feels like a lot. But honestly with the right diet and your doctor's help it gets very manageable. You will be okay, just keep them in the loop.
