Can ibuprofen be taken in pregnancy?

I get really bad body aches and earlier I'd just pop whatever painkiller was at home. Now im pregnant, second trimester, and I have a strip of these tablets. Is it safe or a strict no? I'll ask my gynac too but wanted ur experiences first.

I was specifically told to avoid ibuprofen during pregnancy and to call before taking any painkiller. Some pain meds are not okay in these months. Whatever the pain is, please ring your doctor and let them decide.

Please dont take ibuprofen on your own in pregnancy. Its one of the painkillers doctors usually ask to avoid, especially later on. Call your gynac and ask what is safe for you instead, dont guess with this one.

My doctor told me ibuprofen is generally avoided in pregnancy, particularly in the third trimester, and that another painkiller is usually preferred when needed. But even that only on her advice. So please dont self medicate, check with your gynac.
