Idli is like my comfort food right now, specially mornings when nothing else stays down. Just wanted to be sure its ok to have regularly in pregnancy. anyone?
Yes you can, idli is one of the safest and healthiest options actually. Steamed, low oil, easy to digest. I had it for breakfast so many days. No worries there.
Idli literally saved me during my morning sickness phase, it was one of the few things I could keep down. So light and plain. Eat it happily, just pair it with not too spicy chutney.
Of course, idli was my go to during pregnancy. Its soft, light and easy on the stomach especially when nausea is bad. Amma said its good because its fermented and gentle. Totally safe to eat.
Idli is fine to eat. I had sugar issues so I just kept the portion in check and added some protein on the side. As such its a light and safe choice during pregnancy.
