Im around 5 months and got a bad throat and cough. I have alex syrup at home that i used before pregnancy. I wont take it without confirming, planning to ask my doc, but just wanted to know if any of u were allowed this one?
Dont self medicate with any syrup in pregnancy, even common ones. Ring your doctor, tell her your symptoms and let her say yes or no to it. Not worth guessing with medicines right now.
I really wouldnt take any cough medicine without your doctors okay right now. Safety of specific syrups varies, and only your gynac knows your full history. A quick call is the right move here.
Please dont take any cough syrup including this on your own during pregnancy. Some arent safe and it depends on your trimester. Call your gynac and ask specifically about this syrup before taking even one dose.
