Can influenza vaccine be taken during pregnancy?

My office is asking everyone about flu vaccine and I am in second trimester now. I have my regular checkup next week but wanted to hear if pregnant ladies usually take it. Did your gynac suggest it?

Yes, my gynac actually recommended the flu shot during pregnancy, she said the inactivated one is considered safe and even gives some protection to baby. But take it from ur own doctor so timing is right.

Flu vaccine is commonly given to pregnant women, lots of my patients took it without issues. Just get it at the clinic so it's the right type and they record it for u.

I got it in my 2nd trimester after my doctor said go ahead. Felt fine, mild soreness in arm only. Best to ask ur gynac and do it under them.
