Can intercourse cause miscarriage in early pregnancy?
This is my first and im honestly a little scared. My husband and i are being very careful but i keep wondering if being intimate this early can harm anything. Did this thought worry anyone else too?
For most women its fine, but because I had a threatened miscarriage my doctor advised caution for a while. So it really depends on your individual case. If you have any history or bleeding, please check with your gynac first.
In a normal healthy pregnancy intercourse does not cause miscarriage, the baby is well protected. Miscarriages usually happen due to other reasons like chromosomal issues. But if you have bleeding, pain or a high risk pregnancy, then ask your gynac to be cautious.
I worried about this so much in early weeks and avoided everything out of fear. My doctor reassured me that in a normal pregnancy it is safe and doesnt cause loss. So unless your doctor has flagged a risk, you can relax a bit.
