Can intercourse during early pregnancy cause miscarriage?
just found out im pregnant, maybe 5 weeks. honestly both me and my husband are scared to be intimate now because we dont want anything to go wrong this early. is this fear valid or are we overthinking? would love to hear from others.
No it doesnt, both my pregnancies were fine. Body is built to protect the baby. Only if your doctor flagged something specific, then hold back, otherwise its normal.
No beta, in a normal healthy pregnancy it does not cause miscarriage. Lot of us worry about this unnecessarily. Unless your doctor has told you to avoid it for some reason, you dont need to panic.
I lost my first pregnancy and after that I got very scared of everything. My doc explained that intercourse itself doesnt cause miscarriage in a normal case. But because of my history she advised caution, so pls just ask your own doctor what suits your situation.
I asked my gynac this exact thing. She said for a low risk pregnancy it is safe and the baby is well protected. She only advised avoiding it if there is bleeding, placenta issue or threatened miscarriage. So depends on your case really.
Yaar dont stress over this, its a really common myth. For a normal pregnancy its fine. Just listen to your body and if anything feels off, like cramping or spotting, then call your doc.
I was so worried about this in my first weeks honestly. Did anyone else feel guilty after? My doctor reassured me its safe in normal pregnancy and that calmed me down a lot.
