I take my iron tablet in the morning and sometimes breakfast has egg. Then someone told me not to mix some foods with iron, so I got confused. How do you space your tablets and meals?
My doctor told me to take my iron tablet a bit away from heavy calcium things, but egg as a food is fine and actually good protein. She said dont take iron right with milk/tea, but a normal meal with egg is okay. Confirm the timing your doctor wants for your iron.
Eating egg and having iron in pregnancy is generally fine together. I'd just say take the iron tablet at the time your doctor suggested, vit C foods actually help it absorb. Run the exact schedule by your gynac.
Eggs are great in pregnancy, fully cooked ones, good protein and iron too. The only tip is dont gulp your iron tablet exactly with tea or coffee, takes away absorption. Egg with food is no problem.
Honestly egg is such a cheap good protein in pregnancy, I had it almost daily, well cooked. Iron tablet I took at a separate time as doctor said. Easy and affordable combo for nutrition.
