Can iron sucrose injection given daily in pregnancy?
My hb is quite low and gynac suggested iron injections. I was wondering if these are given daily or with a gap, the schedule confused me. Anyone here took these during pregnancy?
Honestly this is a medical dosing question, please dont rely on a community for it. Your hospital will give it on the schedule your doctor sets. Ask them directly how often, that's the safest answer here.
When I needed iron injections, my doctor explained they space them out, usually not every single day, based on calculated total dose. The schedule is decided by the doctor. Definitely confirm the timing with the one treating you, it's not a one-size thing.
The frequency of iron sucrose is decided medically based on your iron deficiency level, so I really cant say daily or not. What I can say is your treating doctor is the right person for this exact question. Best to ask them clearly.
This is really something only your doctor should decide, the dose and gap between iron sucrose injections depends on your hemoglobin and weight. I had low Hb and mine were given on specific days, not daily. Please follow exactly what your gynac says, dont go by general advice.
