Can jackfruit induce contractions during pregnancy?
Im 30 weeks and my MIL got fresh kathal home today, said i shouldnt eat much in pregnancy. I love jackfruit yaar but now im scared it might start contractions or something. Is there any truth to this ya just old talk? anyone ate it safely?
Honestly, these are just old myths our grandmothers had. Ripe jackfruit doesn't induce labor, but eating too much can cause heavy bloating or indigestion. Just have a small portion if you really crave it.
Hey, don't stress too much about jackfruit, it is totally fine in normal amounts! It doesn't cause any contractions. Just don't eat an entire plate of raw jackfruit curry at once, haha!
Actually, when I asked my dietician at the hospital about this, she said there is no scientific link between jackfruit and early contractions. But she advised me to eat well-cooked, clean food. You can always call your clinic desk to confirm.
Not at all! Jackfruit (kathal) is actually quite nutritious and won't cause labor or contractions in a normal pregnancy. 😋 Just eat it in moderation so u don't get gas!
I ate quite a bit of kathal biryani during my twin pregnancy and nothing happened, lol! It's completely safe in moderation and doesn't induce labor. Just be ready for some extra gas if you overeat it!
