My recent test showed latent TB and now im planning for a baby soon. Bit scared what it means for the pregnancy and baby. Has anyone here gone through this? would love to hear ur experience.
Latent TB generally doesn't affect the baby, but you must tell your gynac about it immediately. They will monitor you closely and decide if any safe treatment is needed during or after pregnancy. Please don't ignore it.
Actually latent TB doesn't make you sick or spread to others, so chill yaar. But you definitely need to inform your doctor so they can keep an eye on your scans. No need to worry unnecessarily!
Just like I had to do regular blood tests for my thyroid, you will need close monitoring for latent TB. It doesn't usually affect the baby, but staying in touch with your specialist and gynac is key. Regular follow-ups keep everything safe.
Oh, I had this same scare and honestly panicked so much! But my doctor explained that latent TB means the bacteria is asleep and doesn't harm the baby or spread. It's totally fine, just follow what your gynac says and don't stress like I did.
Latent TB means you aren't active or infectious, so it doesn't harm the baby. Just be transparent with your doctor from day one. They might put you on safe preventive meds or wait until delivery, but it's very manageable.
