Can lifting cause miscarriage in pregnancy in 5 weeks?
I just found out im 5 weeks and yesterday before knowing I lifted a heavy water bucket and some shopping bags. Now im panicking that I might have harmed something so early. Really anxious, planning to call my doctor but wanted to hear if anyone went through similar.
I understand this fear so much. After my loss I was scared of everything, but my doctor gently told me early miscarriages are rarely caused by lifting, it's usually nature's process. Still, I avoided heavy weights and asked for help, just for my own peace. Be kind to yourself and lean on your doctor for the worry.
Haan thoda dhyaan rakhna with heavy stuff but rozmarra ka kaam se kuch nahi hota na. Bahut bhaari cheez mat uthao bas. And koi spotting ya pain ho to turant doctor ko bolo, otherwise relax.
Light everyday lifting usually doesnt cause miscarriage, the body protects the baby quite well early on. But heavy weights are best avoided, especially if you've had any spotting or past losses. If you're worried about something specific you lifted, just call your gynac and tell them, they'll reassure you properly.
Normal lifting like a grocery bag or a toddler wont cause it, miscarriages at 5 weeks are almost always due to chromosome reasons, not because you picked something up. Just dont strain with very heavy stuff and bend with your knees. Dont blame yourself for daily activity.
Please dont carry guilt over this. Day to day activities are fine, just skip the very heavy lifting and get help when you can. If you ever notice bleeding or cramps, then call your doctor right away.
