Can lifting weight cause miscarriage in early pregnancy?
I lifted a heavy bucket yesterday before remembering I might be pregnant, and now I am panicking. I have no bleeding but some mild cramps. Should I be worried or just check with doc if symptoms come?
Realistically you'll still carry groceries and a toddler, light lifting is generally fine. Just dont strain on really heavy loads, bend properly, take help where you can. If unsure about a specific thing, quick ask to your gynac.
Normal day to day lifting usually doesnt cause miscarriage, most early losses are due to chromosomal issues, not effort. That said, avoid heavy lifting and straining to be safe. If you do something strenuous, dont panic, but ask your gynac.
Better to avoid lifting heavy things, especially if you've had any complications or bleeding. I was told strict no heavy lifting in my pregnancy. Everyones situation differs, so check with your own doctor what your limit is.
I want to gently say, most miscarriages are not caused by lifting, so please dont blame yourself if you worry about that. Still, take it easy and let others help with heavy stuff. Be kind to yourself and ask your doctor for peace of mind.
My MIL kept telling me dont lift heavy and i mostly listened to relax everyone. Honestly normal light lifting is okay, heavy ones better avoid. If you ever feel cramps or spotting after, tell your doctor.
