My bp always runs low and lately i feel dizzy when i stand up too fast. Im 12 weeks. Bit worried whether it affects the baby in any way, planning to ask my doctor at next visit but wanted to hear your experiences.
Low bp can make you feel dizzy and faint which isnt great when pregnant. I would not ignore it. If you are feeling lightheaded often, please tell your gynac so they can check properly.
A little low bp is fairly common in early pregnancy and usually manageable, drink enough water, dont stand up too fast and eat on time. But if you actually faint or feel very weak, get it checked.
I had slightly low bp and panicked, but my doctor reassured me it was common and just told me to stay hydrated and rest. So dont scare yourself, just keep your doctor informed about how you feel.
Mine used to dip especially when i skipped meals at work. Keeping snacks handy and not standing too long helped a lot. If dizziness gets bad though, dont wait, mention it to your doc.
My gynac explained that bp often drops a bit in the first half of pregnancy because of hormonal changes, usually nothing alarming. But she said to report any fainting immediately. So watch out for that.
