Im 32 weeks and my gynac mentioned something about an injection for baby's lung development in case of early delivery. Got a little scared honestly, didnt fully understand. Anyone here got this injection during pregnancy? Want to know why its given.
My doctor explained these are steroid shots, usually two doses, given mostly between 24 and 34 weeks if preterm birth is likely. They really improve the baby's breathing at birth. Its a well known and safe practice when indicated.
I got these steroid injections when there was a chance of early delivery, they help the baby's lungs mature. My gynac watched me closely. Please dont take it on your own, only when the doctor decides its needed.
Dont worry beta, these injections are given for the baby's good. My sister got them too and her little one was perfectly fine. Just follow whatever your gynac advises.
