Had some lower tummy cramps yesterday and out of habit i almost took meftal spas like i do for periods. Then remembered im pregnant now, just 6 weeks. Held off and wanted to ask before doing anything, is it a no during early days?
Please be careful, Meftal Spas is usually for cramps and that combo isnt recommended in pregnancy without doctor advice. If you are having strong cramps in early pregnancy, dont take it yourself, call your gynac quickly, cramps need checking.
Oh I would never take Meftal Spas on my own when pregnant, it scares me. If your stomach is paining please dont self medicate, ring your doctor. Cramps in early days especially should be told to the gynac.
I wouldnt take Meftal Spas in early pregnancy on my own. When I had cramps the doctor decided what was safe. Dont self treat, especially early on, just tell your gynac whats hurting and let her guide.
That tablet has mefenamic acid plus an antispasmodic, not something to take casually in pregnancy. For pain or cramps the doctor will give a safe alternative. And early pregnancy cramping is worth a call to your gynac anyway.
