Can norethisterone make a pregnancy test positive?
I was taking norethisterone earlier and now my test showed faint positive. Im a bit confused if its real ya the medicine doing something. Planning to ask my doc but wanted to know if anyone here knows about this.
Since hormones are delicate, please consult your gynac for a proper blood test to confirm. It is always better to be cautious and get a doctor's confirmation early on.
I am also trying to understand how these meds affect our cycle! If you took a test and it's positive, is it because of a missed period after stopping the tablet?
It shouldn't affect the test directly, but hormone levels can be tricky. Make sure to follow up with your doctor regularly to understand how your cycle is behaving.
When I was trying, I felt so confused by all these medications. I felt a rush of emotions when I realized only hCG causes a true positive, so definitely get a blood test done.
Don't waste time guessing on forums. Do a beta hCG blood test from a lab on your way to work, it gives the most accurate result and saves you days of stress.
Actually, norethisterone is progesterone, and pregnancy tests detect hCG! So it won't cause a false positive, but do check with your doctor to be absolutely sure. 😊
