My test came positive but im wondering if the regular ultrasound will confirm it or do they do some other type. I have an appointment next week. Just curious what to expect.
My doctor explained that a normal abdominal ultrasound can detect it but usually only after 6 weeks or so. Earlier than that they often do a transvaginal scan because the baby is too tiny. So timing matters a lot.
Yes the regular scan works but if its very early they may shift to the internal one for a clearer view. Dont panic if first scan shows nothing, sometimes they just call you back after a week.
